I finished a new song in Ableton Live Pro. It took me some time to make it sound right, but the final effect is quite satisfying.

Batman Skateboard

I decided to change up my skateboard a little bit. I took an old batman comic and cut it up. Next I used the decoupage method to stick parts of the comic book to the bottom of my skateboard. I am very satisfied with the end product. Making this board took me 3 hours!

Comic Book

Me and my friend made a comic book for my friends birthday. It consumed quite a lot of time, but was definitely worht it. We first took photos of all our friends in different poses and then edited them in a special app. We print out a few copies for ourselves and for her.

LiMUN

I travelled to Lithuania for a MUN conference hosted in Kaunas. I was representing the United States of America in the Security Council. It was a fascinating and worthwhile experience. I am definitely planning to go next year as well.

TBSMUN

This weekend I was a delegate at the MUN conference hosted by the British School of Warsaw. This was my first MUN conference, so I was new to all the procedure. However I did have a lot of fun and I was happy to represent such an interesting country as Ivory Coast.

Jewellery

Making jewellery is one of my hobbies. I make it out of polymer clay, which is similar to play-doh. During the weekend I made a pair of earrings and a necklace.

Piano

I spent some time playing the piano this week, since I was trying to play the piano part of Fluorescent Adolescent by the Arctic Monkeys (accompanying the guitar part). I haven't actually played the piano in some time, so it took much longer, than learning the same thing on the guitar.

Art Gallery

This week I went to the Zachęta Art Gallery to see a exhibition concerning religion. It was quite interesting and did bring up many controversial issues. Some authors showed elements of certain religions, which they found disturbing or unethical, whereas some showed a new and more original outlook towards the mass beliefs. The many artists, whose work was shown in the gallery showed their own interpretation of gods, in one of the works Kanye West was portrayed as one. In my opinion, this exhibition was truly eye opening and gave me a different view of modern religion. Another piece of artwork which caught my attention was a video, showing Izolda falling into water, which was slowed down. It was quite magnificent, and had many fascinating interpretations. According to the description it was meant to show her ascending into heaven. Overall I think this was a valuable experience and has awoken my appreciation of modern art. I will definitely plan more visits to this gallery in the future.

Amnesty International Posters

Last week I stayed at school after lesson to make posters for the Amnesty International Letter Writing Marathon. We tried to make posters, which will be creative and engage people who see them hanging on the corridor.

Guitar

I have been playing the electric guitar for a few years now. Though I am not yet too good at it, I am trying to master some of my favourite songs. I am currently practising the intro for "I bet that you look good on the dancefloor" by the Arctic Monkeys. For now I am learning on my own, yet I think I will enroll in some classes in the nearby future.
